Halloween Owls

I need to do something creative everyday to keep myself sane:)) So this weekend I was surfing and drooling on all the lovely blogs in my Google reader while my DH watched the number crunching TV channels..I was so fixated on these lovely pictures of cupcakes on Shivani's Owl Barn!!

I pulled DH out and went to the mall to buy oreos, licorie sticks, M&M's.. We didn't get Oreos in Zürich .. So it was fun to find all the old favorites on the rack... Then I made my first Oreo owl..

Hoot Hooot

It is made of 2 Oreo cookies, 1 licorice stick and 6 M & M's..

Hoot Hoot Who goes there???

Then I made a green eyed owl..This time with a digestive biscuit as his body!!Does he look scary enough for Halloween .. I don't know.. But he definitely looks scared!!
Next one is  Halloween surprise.. a sweet innocent bird....:)

Yah.. maybe he is pretending to be cute and innocent.. Just try touching him he will turn into something scary..:))

Oreo bird

Hmmm.. Those red eyes.. he is definitely scary.:))

I have a Halloween post coming up in a few days so do come back!!  On Sunday we went to the beach.  I will post the pics on Friday.

If you want to make owl cupcakes as treats to kids here is the recipe on Duncan Hines!!!

Get your craft on Thurs.
