It's getting scorching hot and humid here!! The weather forecast says that this is just the beginning as May and June are the worst months..:( Anyway..I cannot change the weather but I can change the mood in the house by creating a tablescape..
I thought why not beat the heat with a table decor which is calming and soothing to the eyes.... blue and white table setting!! It all started with the centerpiece..I created this floral design with white roses. Once this was done everything else just fell into place..
The dinner set is from India. My sister and I had bought similar sets 10-13 years back when I was a teenager..We loved it so much that we bought them thinking when we we will have our own house we will use them..Hehehee.. and we kept it in the attic of my parents house and forgot about it totally. Last year when my parents moved homes they discovered them. I brought only half of it - the plates, serving bowls and dessert bowls with me to Singapore.
I love the delicate design on the plates!! These napkin rings are from a memorable holiday in South Africa.
I tied a bunch of flowers to the candle stand to make it more interesting!!
The coasters are hand embroidered from Geneva. It has a pretty picture of a dancing swiss couple.
How is the weather in your city? Hope it is not extremely hot and you could still enjoy the sun!!
